The price of Homebrand milk is set to go up by 30 cents to $3.30 across eastern Australia, with the extra money going to help out drought stricken farmers.
The temporary rise in price will carry on until Woolworths launches their “drought relief” milk range in mid-October.
A drought relief committee is being set up, to ensure that all of the extra money is distributed to dairy farmers in need during these tough times.
