A gold coast mother has found a deadly brown snake in her daughters cot. Her daughter was not in the room when the snake was discovered.

Experts warn there could be a rise in snake sightings this month as it is the snake mating season.

Gold Coast Snake catcher Tony Harrison said: “the males are on a mission to find a female and they'll travel out in the open, across roads, people's backyards, everything.”
