Uber is set to introduce an emergency call feature following sexual assault allegations against their drivers.
The feature was introduced earlier this year in the United States and Canada, and the safety shortcut will not only connect passengers to triple zero but also share the real time location.
Uber Australia and New Zealand General Manager Susan Anderson has said this feature will aid police in giving “concrete technical timestamps” when investigating incidents.
