A boy in Adelaide has contracted a life threatening case of meningococcal just after the South Australian Government announced free B strain Meningococcal vaccines on monday.

 

Following this discovery, the South Australian Health Department has recommended 64 people in a childcare centre to begin antibiotic courses.

 

This case joins 2 dozen more instances of the deadly illness within the state, which is lower than last years recorded cases within the same period of 31.
