The aftermath of Indonesia’s twin earthquake and tsunami disaster is proving catastrophic, as the victim count rises to over 1400.

More than 70,000 people have been displaced from their homes due to the disasters and thousands are injured.

Food, water and medical aid are still slow to reach to worst affected areas due to lack of access, and the UN has warned of the “vast” unmet needs in these areas.

Almost 200,000 people are in need of urgent help, and aid organizations just can’t get to them through the scale of the damage.
