The influx of illegal prostitution within massage parlours is beginning to hurt the wallets of licenced Queensland brothels.
The Prostitution Licensing Authority in their recent annual report has stated that whilst there exists legitimate remedial and therapeutic massage clinics, many are being used as a front for illegal prostitution which must addressed.
These illegal fronts present a risk to prospective customers as they may not comply with Queensland industry regulations which include maintenance of management structures, sexual health and sex worker safety.
