A 25-year-old Frenchman has been charged with six-month custodial sentence following the release of footage showing him assaulting a woman.
Surveillance cameras captured the man picking up an throwing an ashtray across Mari Laguerre, a 22-year-old student, after she berated him for making lewd comments outside a cafe in Paris in July.
Ms Laguerre said in her Facebook post that the man used dirty language, in a humiliating and provocative manner and she told him to shut up.
