A local bakery owner is closing in on a remarkable achievement that will help make life a little better for hundreds of women experiencing homelessness or poverty this Christmas.
Bakers Delight Burleigh Heads Franchisee, Jo Heidke is completing an ambitious goal to source 1000 handbags full of personal hygiene products for Share the Dignity – an Australian charity supporting women experiencing homelessness or domestic violence.
Jo said all she is asking people to do to support is choose a handbag that is in good condition but no longer used, fill it with some essential hygiene products and drop it in at the bakery.
