Federal Agriculture Minister David Littleproud has launched an attack on Coles, Woolworths and Aldi, suggesting that customers are being misled by a 30c surcharge on milk to support drought stricken farmers.

Littleproud claims that the surcharge is an “empty media stunt”, as it only is applied to the supermarket variety, and not branded milk.

These comments are rejected by Woolworths Director Paul Harker, reminding that they have sent initial drought relief funding to the community, with more communities receiving as soon as possible.
