According to a new report, migraines are costing the Australian economy $35.7 billion dollars a year.

With 4.9 million Australians affected by migraines, the Deloitte report shows they could be losing up to more than $27,000 a year due to the condition.

Sydney-based neurologist, Dr Karl Ng, considers the figures “quite confronting” and believes those who experience migraines are not receiving adequate treatment.
