Ecuador’s parliament has released once-secret documents detailing a plan to smuggle Australian Julian Assange out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he is at risk of extradition.
Assange’s team supposedly met with Russian diplomats to discuss a plan which would see the whistleblower moved to Moscow.
Russia has denied such a meeting took place, and Assange remains in the Ecuadorian embassy.
