The Queensland Labour Party has used its parliament majority to block the construction of a committee to investigate possible bribery allegations against Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

The allegations stem from complains made by Bob Katters Australian Party’s Queensland Leader Robbie Katter regarding staff cuts to his office after the party refused to conform to her demands which the Crimes and Corruption Commission said if proven, could amount to a bribery offence

However, the commission said that there was no successful prospect of prosecution.
