The original ‘Big Bird’ of Sesame Street is leaving for retirement, after almost 50 years of bringing the iconic children’s character to life.
Puppeteer Caroll Spinney, who also plays Oscar the Grouch, has picked his successors to continue on the legacy, after mentoring them for over twenty years.
Spinney says Big Bird brought him to so many places, opened his mind and nurtured his soul.
