West End Local councillor is calling for Deputy Premier and Member for South Brisbane Jackie Trad to reign in a huge West End unit project, fearing it will damage the suburb’s livability.
It is unclear if Ms Trad or State Development Minister Cameron Dick have the power to prevent the four 12-storey residential development, which was approved on Friday by the Council.
West End Community Association has also expressed concerns over the project, highlighting that West End infrastructure is limited, noting that an additional citycat terminal in the area has been shelved for at least a decade.
