Bicycle Queensland’s chief Anne Savage has called for a new CBD bikeway grid to be made with separated bike lanes across streets, letting cyclists move through the city safely.
This comes after 2850 issues have been raised with Brisbane City Council, with cyclist ‘safety spots’ maintaining constant issues with travel.
Ms Savage suggests the idea is being ‘actively considered’ by both the council and the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
