New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has appointed an expert panel to assess the current rate of population growth in her bid to drive down immigration rates into the state.
Ms Berejiklian says immigration is putting too much pressure on the infrastructure of New South Wales and they are still playing catch-up.
The panel will assess the current rate of population growth and infrastructure pipeline in New South Wales and report to the premier within two months.
