The nation’s largest cycling lobby is calling for more relaxed helmet laws.
They say helmets should be optional when riding on footpaths or otherwise off-road.
This supposedly comes after a lot of research into the safety and necessity for helmets, and this will be the first time helmet laws will be reviewed since the introduction of mandatory cycling helmets in the 90s.
