Disney plans to release their own streaming service sometime next year.

The new service, called Disney+ will be launching late 2019. The entertainment company is backing on its vast portfolio of characters to lure fans away from other streaming services.

The news comes from Disney CEO Bob Iger after an earnings call with investors last Thursday. The service will be built around Disney’s namesake, along with Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and its recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
