Brisbane-based pilot Yahya Khattabi has made allegations training manuals given to Virgin Australia airlines new Boeing 737 pilots have failed to comply with federal regulations.
Khattabi raised safety concerns in September with his superiors and was almost immediately suspended, due to serious allegations that he had breached Virgin’s code of conduct and shortly after had his employment terminated.
Senior management of Virgin has disagreed with his claims, stating Khattabi has been warned about his communication style, his concerns were raised in a threatening and disrespectful way and Virgin had since lost trust in him.
