As of January, Commonwealth Bank will get 65% of its energy from renewables after signing an agreement with the largest wind farm in New South Wales.

The bank said the 12 year purchasing agreement with Sapphire Wind Farm in north east New South Wales is another step toward going all renewables by 2030.

Commonwealth Bank has become the first Australian company to commit to the global RE100 initiative, in which corporates will aim to source 100% of their electricity from renewables by a specified year.
