Scott Morrison signals for cutting migration in response to population concerns.

The Prime Minister delivered a speech Monday night that signaled for a reduction in the current population cap. Saying, “enough, enough, enough. The roads are clogged, the buses and trains are full. The schools are taking no more enrolments.”

Statistics confirmed by home affairs minister, Peter Dutton, indicate migration levels are already almost thirty thousand a year below the current cap. Australia accepted just 162,000 permanent migrants in the last year. A decrease of more than 10% and the lowest level in a decade.
