Thousands of South Australian teachers will walk off the job on Thursday, forcing hundreds of the state's schools and pre-schools to close.

 

Teachers are angry that talks with the State Government over a new pay and conditions deal have stalled, and They are demanding smaller class sizes, more resources and improved job security.

It’s the first time since 2018 teachers will walk off the job. Treasurer Rob Lucas said Thursday's industrial action was not going to change the approach, schools will notify parents as to how the strike action will impact them.
