A report conducted by the Defense Department, has confirmed toxic foam used for fire fighting at the RAAF base in Amberly, was found in the Bremer River.

The study has discovered traces of the chemicals in the fish from the river, alongside eggs from domestic chickens in nearby farms.

The toxic foam was found to be ‘above drinking water standards’, with a report on the impact on humans to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.
