Police say, exotic fish worth thousands of dollars were killed when a suspicious fire ripped through a pet shop in western Sydney on Monday.

Fire crews were called to the business at Emu Plains just before 10pm, taking half an hour to extinguish the blaze.

On arrival, police found hundreds of dead fish on the floor. One tank alone contained fish valued around $10,000. A police spokesman said, “we don’t believe any fish were taken, we believe it was an act of vandalism.”
