The owner of the Broadway Hotel has been issued with a show cause notice from the Brisbane city council over the building’s dilapidated state.
The Woolloongabba pub on Logan Road has been boarded up after a suspicious fire, further destroying the heritage-listed infrastructure after another blaze that occurred eight years ago.
Environment Minister Leeanne Enoch issued a stop order to prevent the building from being demolished, but the stabilisation of the infrastructure required an enforcement notice to be issued by the council.
