Over 100 women have offered to donate life saving breast milk within 24 hours of the first Milk Bank opening in Australia.

Neonatal intensive care units in New South Wales can now order milk, just like a blood bank, to feed and protect vulnerable premature babies from life-threatening conditions associated with being born early.

Donors are screened to make sure they are healthy, have no infectious diseases and that donating won’t impact the health of their own babies.
