The Queensland Government has spent more than $1 billion last year to save children from neglect and abuse, with reports of up to 5884 children involved in substantiated claims to Child Safety.

 

LNP Child Safety spokesman Stephen Bennett says 46.3 percent of investigations were completed within the 60 day target,’ with statistics showing almost two in five investigations took more than 90 days to complete.

 

The Government has distributed their funds on protective intervention services, out-of-home care, intensive family support services and family support services.
