A Taliban Attack in Kabul, central Afghanistan has killed more than 100 people, amid government silence about one of the most deadly insurgent attacks this month.

Attackers rammed a captured military Humvee packed with explosives into a training centre off the National Directorate for Security in Maiden Wardark Province, followed by two gunmen entering the compound.

The attack occurred on the same day Taliban representatives met the US special envoy for peace in Afghanistan in Qatar, highlighting the pressure Afghan security forces face even as diplomatic efforts press forward for a peace settlement.
