A popular section of New Farm Park has been cordoned off during upgrades where the areas of promenade and cycleway along the river’s edge will be renewed.
Private ferry operators will be able to dock at the ferry terminal that links the Brisbane Powerhouse to the new river hub. Walkways in the New Farm Park area will not be accessible while works continue.
Brisbane City Council announced plans last year to widen the cycleway due to its high popularity, and improve its protection against flooding.
