Queensland Police is investigating property developer Richard Turner, who is alleged to have taken millions of dollars in deposits towards developments on land he did not own.
Turner originally pitched investors on a luxury golf course, shopping centre and hotel scheme in collaboration with Thai hospitality supergroup Dusit Thani.
Plans fell apart after Turner lost possession of the land before construction had even commenced.
