Brighten The Corners (4ZZZ) in conjunction with The Bearded Lady presents a night of utter excellence, featuring local treasures any city would love to boast about - McKisko, Primitive Motion and a special mystery guest.

McKisko will be launching new album 'Southerly' to the world via Little Lake Records. A unique and singular voice in Australian music, McKisko balances dappled fragility with bright-lit imagery and clear-eyed intention. A Grant McLennan Fellowship recipient, she has released two celebrated albums, 'Glorio' (2009) and 'Eximo' (2013), where shadows shift seamlessly, and solitary folk songs stretch and unfold into expansive dreamscapes before finding their way easily back to themselves. The latest album follows the mercurial movement of water, it is a record that drifts in and out with the tide, allowing the listener to be carried curiously along with it.

Speaking of mercurial, it doesn't come much better than Primitive Motion. This duo rarely play the same set twice and continue to explore electronic dreamscapes, all at once pulsing, reflective, a childlike rush full of wonder. They've put out three albums on the Bedroom Suck label, the most recent being 'House In The Wave' which was nominated by The Guardian as one of the best of 2018. The duo plans to play limited shows in 2019, so this will be a rare chance to catch them in action this year.

The third local act is SO HOT RIGHT NOW we can't announce them yet. Needless to say, they are a young act on the rise and set to find their place on the national landscape. They recently launched an EP and packed out a popular Valley venue. HOT.
