US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has publicly denounced Venezuela’s ousted President Nicholas Maduro after images surfaced yesterday showing government troops burning trucks filled with humanitarian aid.

The trucks were set alite during clashes between civilian protesters and troops still loyal to Maduro which have so far claimed the lives of at least two people.

Pompeo told CNN he is confident the Venezuelan people will ensure Maduro’s days are numbered and reaffirmed his support for internationally recognised interim President Juan Guaido.
