Prime Minister Scott Morrison has reacted to criticism over his comments regarding female empowerment on International Women’s Day.
US and UK media outlets called the PM out after he stated women’s empowerment should not have to be to the detriment of others, including men.
PM Morrison responded by saying he wants this agenda “pushed by Australians working together to achieve it with men” as well as women.
After his remarks, PM Morrison told reporters he aims to recruit more women in parliament in future.
