A British cyclist has completed his world-record attempt ride after his bike was stolen in North Queensland.

At 18 years of age, Charlie Condell has become the youngest person to cycle solo around the world after riding 30,000 kilometres in 249 days across 20 countries.

His record-breaking ride was briefly delayed when his bike, affectionately known as Colin, his passport, camping gear and cycling wear were stolen from a Townsville backpackers’ hostel in October 2018.
