The 17-year-old teenager who smashed on egg on Queensland Senator Fraser Anning’s head at a Melbourne press conference on Saturday has spoken of being “tackled by 30 bogans.”

Footage of the incident went viral on social media over the weekend, and showed the teen, dubbed as “Egg Boy”, pulling out his phone to record the ‘cracking’ before being punched by Senator Anning and tackled to the ground and restrained in a chokehold.

Egg Boy was arrested and removed from the venue by police but was later released pending further inquiries into the incident “in its entirety”, including into the actions of Senator Anning and others.

A GoFundMe has raised over four thousand dollars in a day to pay for Egg Boy’s legal fees and more eggs.
