The producers behind mindfulness app Smiling Mind have collaborated with women from Central Australia's NPY Women's Council, to create and record meditations in Kriol, Ngaanyatjarra and Pitjantjatjara languages.

The project’s aim is to help minimise the amount of mental health and trauma issues in Aboriginal communities particularly among young people.

The chief executive of Smiling Mind, Addie Wootten, is excited to work with the women in a culturally appropriate way and has been in touch with other communities to do something similar.

The Smiling Mind user base numbers around three million people.
