Google has announced plans to launch a streaming platform, Stadia, which will change the video game industry in a revolutionary bid.

Users won’t need a console to play, instead it will be a cloud-based service that will allow anyone to play games across any google based devices.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, explains that Google based systems, including Youtube, will have a play now button that will simplify how consumers can access video games.

Google’s Vice President and General Manager, Phil Harrison, says “the future of gaming is not a box. With Stadia, the data centre is your platform and there is no console that limits where gamers can play.”
