NASA has been forced to cancel history’s first all-female spacewalk due to their inability to provide two properly fitting spacesuits for the astronauts.

Christina Koch and Anne McClain will now undertake separate journeys to the International Space Station, instead of walking together, due to only one suitable spacesuit being available - McClain became the 13th woman to perform the spacewalk on March 22.

NASA released a statement saying McClain learned during her first spacewalk that a medium-size hard upper torso fits her best [and] because only one could be made ready by March 29, Koch will wear it.
