Brisbane City Council will purchase private land to ease traffic congestion around the new cruise ship terminal being built at Luggage Point.
A multi-million-dollar road work plan was already approved to allow tour buses to connect passengers with hotels and destinations.
Lord mayor Graham Quirk said the council had received no objection from the people who own the property.
The new $158 m terminal is expected to open by the end of the year.
