A recent AirAsia advertisement has been removed from all Brisbane City Council buses due to its sexual undertones.
The airline was accused of ‘making light’ of sexual exploitation in Thailand with the campaign slogan saying in large type, ‘Get off in Thailand.’
National regulator Ad Standards says while it had not received any complaints about the advertisement on the bus, it has received one complaint about the same advertisement on a billboard.
An AirAsia spokesman says, "We take community feedback extremely seriously and sincerely apologise for the concerns raised.”
