Brunei is defending their Islamic laws that allow punishments including stoning for “crimes” of homosexuality and adultery.
The country has received global criticism for defending the Islamic Law and will implement Sharia laws punishing sodomy, adultery, rape and death penalty from April 3.
The Prime Minister’s office released a statement on Saturday saying the laws aim to “protect legitimate rights of all individuals, society or nationality.”
