Uber has come up with a way to beat traffic jams in India’s financial Capital, Mumbai, by introducing a boat service.

Speedboat rides are offered on six to eight seater boats, which cost 5,700 rupees or $115, and larger vessels that can seat up to 10 people which costs 9,500 rupees $192.

Uber doesn’t accept bookings for an individual seats but rather for an entire boat.

Uber’s head of cities for India, Prabhjeet Singh, said in a statement that "Uber's vision is to create a multi-modal platform to better serve riders and the cities we operate in [and] with Uber Boat, we will tap the vast potential of the city's waterways transport system."
