Problems have emerged for the planned 91-storey skyscraper on Albert Street, with its earthworks predicted to hit the Cross River Rail underground tunnel zone.

Singapore developer and property group, World Class Land, attempted to add three more basement levels to the design in August 2017, which was later withdrawn in March 2018.

Now, a year later, Brisbane City Council says a new application for earthwork approval needs to be referred back to the Cross River Rail Authority, as the remaining basement levels still interfere with the underground rail corridor.

The Brisbane City Council said the developers have not yet provided enough detail about the planned earthworks design to prove they would not have an impact on council infrastructure.
