Two new electric scooter companies may be hopeful of replacing Lime’s prime position on Brisbane’s streets, after Adelaide City Council evicted Lime in favour of scooter companies Beam and RIDE.
After multiple serious injuries were reported, linking Brisbane riders flying overhead due to software glitches – the Lime Scooter company is already being intensely scrutinised.
Lime’s Director of Government Affairs Mitchell Price says the company will present a ‘strong argument’ in its submission to continue operating in Brisbane, with the company preparing for a long-term future in the city.
