US President Donald Trump filed suit on Monday against the Democrat’s subpoena for his personal and business financial records.
The Democrat-controlled House Oversight Committee seeked eight years of documents from an accounting firm Trump used to prepare financial statements, after allegations he inflated and deflated his finances for personal benefit.
Trump’s new suit argues that the Congressional committee has stepped outside of its constitutional limits and paves the way for a lengthy legal battle with the Democrats in Congress.
