In local news, eight lime scooters have been removed from the streets following an incident in which vandals altered the audio files to play offensive messages.

A video of this broadcast was shared to social media which prompted the company to start actively checking whether any other scooters have been tampered with.

Lime’s Queensland public affairs manager, Nelson Savanh, says, “We are aware that eight Lime scooters in Brisbane have had their audio files changed by vandals recording over the existing audio file with inappropriate and offensive speech.”

“It’s disappointing that someone has taken this opportunity to poke fun at members of the community in a hurtful way,” says Mr Savanh.
