The University of Queensland has started showing off the plans for its new Sunshine Coast campus set to open at Petrie in February 2020.

The university has been taking 3D viewers to year 12 students in the region who it hopes will help fill the 1200 spots that will be available when the campus opens.

With most students currently facing a three hour round trip to commute to Brisbane universities, the campus is hoping to capture prospective students who are currently electing to attend smaller universities closer to home.
