The ABC has used its current vote compass data to reveal Australia’s most left and right leaning electorates across the nation alongside other key findings. Analysing over 450 thousand Vote Compass respondents positions on economic and social issues.

The most right-leaning, or conservative, electorate in the country is Maranoa in rural Queensland, a seat held by the Liberal National Party with the most left-leaning being Cooper, a formerly working-class but now gentrified seat in Melbourne, currently held by Labor.

Other findings found that the top 10 most left-leaning electorates are found in inner suburbs of our capital cities and the top 10 most right-leaning electorates are primarily rural. Queensland has been identified as Australia's most right-leaning state again, with 7/10 of the most right-leaning electorates.
