A time capsule is set to be buried under the new Queen's Wharf Casino with a curious mix of items.
It contains photographs, sports uniforms, a letter to future Queenslanders from Premier Anastacia Palaszczuk, Amy Shark’s Love Monster album cover, Johnathan Thurston’s headgear, Jeff Horn’s signed boxing glove, Li Cunxin’s dancing shoes, Jackie Trad’s hummus recipe featuring the slogan “Spread Hummus, Not Hate”, a guaram used in Indigenous initiation ceremonies as donated by Australia’s first Indigenous parliamentarian Neville Bonner’s grand-niece and many other memorabilia items from Brisbane locals.
The capsule will remain buried for 30 years and is set to be unearthed on May 10, 2049.
