Anthony Albanese becomes the only candidate for Labour leadership after frontbencher Jim Chalmers withdraws from the race.
Mr Chalmers announced on Twitter that he would enthusiastically support Mr Albanese and will work tirelessly to give Australians the Labor Government they need and deserve.
Mr Chalmers said the decision was carefully made and had concerns that leadership would be difficult while raising his three young children.
